Why “Impact?”

We are at a crossroads.

The health of the planet, human beings and the economy all require that we evolve beyond the highly extractive, linear processes in place today. We have exceeded boundaries; now we need to rethink the way we grow, create, package, ship, sell, use, interact, and dispose.

Some will stay on the road we’re on. (No thanks to them.) Some will take meaningful steps in a more sustainable direction. (OK, that’s better.)

The rest of us will create and accelerate systematic changes that allow the ecosystem, society and economy to thrive. (Because we have to! And it is serious. But we can also have some fun while doing it.)

There is good news. There are materials, tools and systems—some well-proven and some emerging—that are truly inspiring and have huge potential for positive impact.

Customers, employees, and investors are increasingly demanding safer materials, more sustainable processes, and actionable plans for positive social impact. Mia Davis and her colleagues help companies and organizations create actionable plans in order to drive change—which is imperative for our collective future, and a competitive advantage.
